We own 47 acres amd grow organic crops which is my husband's doing as he is not really an animal person, but we also raise miniature donkeys, Dexter cattle (miniature, rare), a few rare turkeys and chickens along with exotic peafowl and pheasants.
The Potbellied Pigs make great companions as they are loyal and friendly, are not really messy and they like to have lots of human company. If you look around and find a good breeder you should be able to buy a baby for a reasonable price and end up with a wonderful pet that should be with you around 15-18 years if you care for her properly, that is feed her the proper type of feed, give her yearly shoots, keep her wormed, nails trimed and have a good vet to check her over to help keep her in excellent condition.
The upper picture is of Violet and LD's babies born June 25/03 and the lower one is of Su Lei and LD's babies born July 30/03. These babies will be register Class "B" as they are foundation stock for a new blood line, the dam is my purebred sow and the sire is of the foundation stock. these babies are 3rd generation. All are beautifully built , great disposition and healthy.
