Spring has sprung here in Texas. The wild flowers are beginning to bloom; so most Texans are waiting in great anticipation for their annual spring show. Of course Spring also indicates that it is time for NAPPA's election to the Board of Directors. In this issue of the News you will find a list of board positions available. Please take the time to offer your suggestions for Board of Director nominations. Oh, please make sure you cast your vote too.

The NAPPA Board of Directors is critical to the function of this organization. They do most of the work. Due to this fact we are always seeking more participation in the day to day function of NAPPA, from a broader scope of people. We are always open to more volunteers. So, if you have some free time on your hands and would like to volunteer to help us, please feel free to contact me directly. You can email me at Kathleen or you can call me at 573-698-3030. I will be happy to discuss the available options.

Another issue I have not mentioned to you lately is our continuous search for projects or information that will benefit our pigs and the humans who care for them. Should you have a suggestion as to a needed piece of information or a specific project that you feel would help in the care or training of our pigs, please let me know. Most of NAPPA's information and programs have started with someone stepping forward and saying "Wouldn't it be nice if we could do or provide ------------?". From this simple statement, in most cases, we did! It seems as if when the time is right the right thing happens.
