At this holy time of year I though a treat for each of you might be to share another of my Gretel's adorable songs. This song was recorded for Gretel by Colleen about 3 years ago. It is Gretel's springtime original.

Ohhhh, it's been raining here at my farm,
it's cold and wet and gray.
The cows stay in the meadows
my piggy friends won't play.
I'm getting very lonely
without my sunny friend,
Yes it's raining here at my farm
and my whole self is wet.
I come out just for breakfast
to poop and eat and sigh,
the ground is like a river
so I go back inside.
The days are long and lonely
with gray skies overhead,
and Kathleen doesn't visit
except to check our beds.
Of course, we eat our dinner
it rains through that you know,
our world is very soggy
and seeps between our toes.
We sleep and dream of nice times
when Sun shines on our heads,
And I keep singing softly
as I go back to bed.
I'm looking for the flowers
but they don't like the rain,
yet when the sun comes back out
they'll grow and bloom so gay,
It'll be gorgeous by our pig yard
and I'll stay out all day....
