NAPPA has had it First Online General Membership meeting in the new NAPPA Conference Room found from the Index Page. This conference room is a service provided by NAPPA and is available to be use for any potbellied pig related discussion. Within the News you will find the minutes from this meeting.

Fran will be receiving all of the NAPPA snail mail materials and requests; as well as, our phone calls for help. She is your Board's Recording and Corresponding Secretary. Fran will make sure that your Board stays organized and the necessary information gets to the appropriate person so that NAPPA can continue to serve the potbellied pig community. This is a big job and we are most grateful that she has chosen to help out in this way.

Cindy DePorter has been appointed the new Zoning Chairperson. She is in the process of updating the zoning materials and copying the tape. We appreciate her volunteering to do this important job. Cindy has already received several requests for help and has sent the materials right.

Carol Welcomb has been appointed the new Information Chairperson. Along with her other duty as a feature writer with the News she will now spearhead a new project for us. Carol is going to put NAPPA on CD for us. All of our brochures and information will be available in one CD. How exciting! Look for Carol's announcement in this issue of the News. And get those pictures in to her as soon as you can.

And of course, as a reminder to you. Janie Finck has taken over as Internet Information Chairperson. Janie is handling all of our online requests for help or information. This is a daily job and we are most appreciative of Janie's commitment to our pet pigs. She answers the NAPPA messages quickly and references the people to the appropriate resource.

The hot summer here marches on, thank goodness. With the long days of over 100 degrees we Texans are all looking forward to fall. As the weather cools a renewed energy happens for animals and humans alike. Just to remind you that new projects and new ways of helping are always foremost on NAPPA's mind. When Carol brought to the Board her idea regarding the new NAPPA CD as another means of getting pig information out to the general public, NAPPA chose to fund this project. We are always open and ready to help with any project of value. Let us hear from you if you have an idea brewing and not sure how to carry it out.
